Introduction
In this project we decided to publish a book called "The Book of Us" which Dr. P has been doing for now three years. In this book each student wrote something that they chose to write about. My writing piece was about the Song Riptide by Vance Joy and its basically describing my interpretation of the song and what it actually means.
Real world writing purpose Field Guide
We were given a packet of these different types of writing and the reason why we were given it was so we can 1 notice all the different types and 2 have an idea on how we want to write ours. 1 topic = 18 topic We had an assessment that was 1 topic = 18 topics. I do not have a picture of it because I threw it away. I thought I wouldn't need it because I ended up writing about something totally differently. What was on my work sheet was the topic about chips. My Down Draft// Final Draft I noticed that my down draft was just notes and unfinished ideas for the longest time until I had some help from Dr. P. |
Feedback & Critique
We had Multiple critique structures like the Big picture, Scissors, No-critique and the Author-led critique. I was only part pf twp of them because I was behind on my down draft and there was really no point on getting critique when there was nothing there. I participated on the Scissors critique and the No-critique critique. During the Scissors critique I had my outline on how I wanted to format my piece and my partner, Jonathan had to cut it up and move it around to see if there were any other way to format my writing. During the No-critique critique all we had to do was sit in a group of three to four of peoples pieces we haven't read yet and just read it and not say anything to the writer.
Reflection
1. What did you want to write about when you started this project?
- I wanted to write about chips, about the serving sizes and the air in the bags.
2.How has your down draft changed to your final draft?
- It hasn't changed much. All I changed was being more descriptive about my points.
3. What would you change about your piece now?
- I would probably go back to the chip idea.
